West Zephyr began with a simple idea and, honestly, a lot of luck. When we first started bringing small groups together, we didn't fully know who would show up. What happened surprised us.

The people who found their way into our world turned out to be some of the most remarkable humans we had ever met. Almost by accident, a travel tribe was born. That group went on to explore the world together, trip after trip, continent after continent. Somewhere along the way we realized we weren't just planning vacations. We were building a community.

The Kind of Person Who Finds Us

Over time we noticed something. A certain kind of person kept being drawn to what we do, and it was that person who made the whole thing feel rare and special. They appreciate the finer things in life, and they are not afraid to step away from them when the adventure calls.

They will happily indulge in one of the finest hotels in Japan in the heart of Kyoto, and then lace up their boots the next morning and disappear into something wild. They are interesting, and just as importantly, they are interested. They tend to be kind, insightful, warm, and endlessly curious. The sort of people you leave a conversation with feeling expanded rather than drained.

Our Job

Our job is to find the places, and the pace, that give these people more to be curious about. New landscapes, new rituals, new ideas, and a bigger repertoire of things worth talking about long after the trip ends.
