Where Wild Beauty Meets Intention

Discover

Patagonia is more than a place … it’s an encounter with scale, silence, and self. Eleven days across granite spires, glacial lakes, and wind-shaped valleys where refined comfort meets untamed adventure.

Patagonia humbles everything. Peaks that pierce the clouds, glaciers that roar into turquoise lakes, and an endless horizon of wind-carved plains where time moves differently. Days unfold in motion, boots on stone, laughter carried by the wind until evening brings the slow warmth of shared food and firelight. Around the table, stories surface from every corner of life: why we came, what we’re chasing, what we’re ready to let go. Outside, the wind still howls. Inside, it’s quiet, human, alive. This is Patagonia in its truest form—not just wilderness, but belonging.

"You don’t go to Patagonia to escape the world, you go to remember your place in it."

Buenos Aires Arrival

An elegant beginning in the city of contrasts.

Arrive in Buenos Aires and check into Casa Lucía, a beautifully restored 1929 landmark in Recoleta that captures the city’s golden-age elegance through contemporary design. Step outside into tree-lined boulevards, galleries, and sidewalk cafés that define porteño life. In the afternoon, explore the city’s artistic pulse—Recoleta Cemetery’s grandeur, San Telmo’s markets, or Palermo’s creative quarters. That evening, join your fellow travelers for a private welcome dinner and toast to the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Fly to El Calafate
Day 2

Fly to El Calafate

Trading city streets for endless sky.

Morning flight south into Patagonia, where the landscape opens into sweeping grasslands framed by distant peaks. Arrive at EOLO – Patagonia’s Spirit, an exclusive estancia set on 10,000 acres of private steppe. Spend the afternoon riding horseback with gauchos, exploring hidden valleys by 4WD, or simply watching clouds race across the horizon. As night falls, enjoy chef-driven cuisine and wine beside the fire while wind whistles through the plains outside.

Day 3: Perito Moreno Glacier
Day 3

Perito Moreno Glacier

Where ice still moves with purpose.

Head into Los Glaciares National Park for a full-day adventure to the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier—one of the few advancing glaciers on Earth. Walk the network of elevated boardwalks to witness ice towers collapsing into Lago Argentino, or take a boat across the water for a closer look. For those seeking more immersion, optional guided ice-trekking lets you stand atop the glacier itself, crampons crunching over blue ice. Return to EOLO for a sunset aperitif and starlit dinner.
Accommodation: EOLO – Patagonia’s Spirit

Day 4: El Chaltén – Cerro Torre
Day 4

El Chaltén – Cerro Torre

Into Patagonia’s granite heart.

Travel to El Chaltén, Argentina’s trekking capital, nestled beneath the spires of Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. Embark on a guided full-day hike through lenga forest and alpine meadows toward Cerro Torre—its jagged peaks mirrored in glacial lagoons. For a gentler pace, shorter scenic walks and café explorations in town are available. End the day with local Patagonian fare and shared stories of the trail.
Accommodation: Destino Sur Hotel

Day 5: Mount Fitz Roy Trek
Day 5

Mount Fitz Roy Trek

The mountain that defines Patagonia.

Set out early for the legendary Laguna de los Tres trail leading to the base of Mount Fitz Roy—Patagonia’s most photographed summit. The 9-hour hike rewards every step with panoramic views, turquoise lakes, and wild solitude. Alternative half-day routes, such as Loma del Pliegue Tumbado, offer equally striking vistas for those wanting less intensity. Evening return to El Chaltén for a celebratory dinner and well-earned rest.
Accommodation: Destino Sur Hotel

Day 6: Recovery & Return

Enjoy your first Chilean sunset from the panoramic lounge with a local pisco sour in hand.

Day 10

On To Santiago

From wilderness to warmth.

Fly north to Santiago, Chile’s vibrant capital, and check into The Singular Santiago in the historic Lastarria district. That evening, gather for a rooftop farewell dinner overlooking the city lights—celebrating the miles, laughter, and friendships forged in the world’s southernmost wilds.

Why Travel With Us

This isn't a generic expedition. It's a curated journey where the people who built West Zephyr travel alongside you—bringing years of insight into what makes adventure meaningful.

01

The Curation Runs Deep

Adam and Vanessa have spent years building relationships with world-class partners, guides, and lodges across the globe. Those relationships inform every element of this itinerary—the routes, the accommodations, the moments that most travelers never find. You're not getting a catalog trip; you're getting one shaped by people who've done this hundreds of times.

02

The Group Is the Experience

Every person on this expedition is intentionally selected. You're not joining a busload of strangers—you're stepping into a small group of curious, accomplished people who travel for meaning as much as adventure. The destination is extraordinary, but the real magic is who you experience it with.

03

You Travel with the Vision, Not Just the Brand

Most companies send staff. On Founders' Trips, Adam and Vanessa are there—sharing meals, joining excursions, present for the conversations that happen when remarkable people explore together. Our expert local partners handle every operational detail so you (and we) can simply be present.

Where You'll Stay

Your Home Bases

*Properties may change in rare circumstances, but never the quality or experience

Casa Lucia

Buenos Aires, Argentina

In the elegant heart of Recoleta, Casa Lucía channels Buenos Aires’ golden-age glamour with refined modernism. Housed in a restored historic building built in 1929, its interiors mix noble woods, elegant marble, and local art to create a sanctuary of light and sophistication. Rooms are drenched in natural daylight, acoustically insulated, and appointed with thoughtful luxury touches. Beyond your door: leafy boulevards, sidewalk cafés, and the city’s best museums just steps away. It’s the perfect city interlude before you head into Patagonia’s raw grandeur.

EOLO – Patagonia’s Spirit

El Calafate, Argentina

Set on 10,000 private acres between El Calafate and Perito Moreno, EOLO delivers that rare quiet where mountains, steppe, and endless sky hold dominion. The architecture speaks in local dialect—weathered wood, native stone, floor-to-ceiling glass that frames the ever-shifting light across the pampa. Twenty minutes from town keeps you connected without compromise, while your evenings unfold with glacier views and meals that honor the land. Here, solitude feels earned, not imposed.

Destino Sur de Montaña

El Chalten, Argentina

Five minutes from the core trailheads to Fitz Roy, Destino Sur wraps you in alpine warmth after big mountain days. Think wood and stone refuge with fireplace lounges, spa facilities, and soaking pools that ease trail-worn muscles while mountain views fill every window. It’s the kind of place where exhausted becomes recharged, where stories get told over hot tea while the massif glows amber in the distance.

Tierra Patagonia

Torres del Paine, Chile

Perched on a bluff above Lake Sarmiento, Tierra emerges from the landscape like it’s always belonged there. Forty rooms of understated luxury where lenga wood and local stone blur the line between inside and out, where every sight line leads to the Paine Massif. The spa and guided programs feel immersive, never touristy—they understand you’re here for presence, not performance. This is your base camp for the deepest Patagonian immersion possible, where design serves wilderness instead of competing with it.

The Singular Santiago

Santiago, Chile

Located in the heart of Santiago’s artistic Lastarria district, The Singular Santiago is your cultured launching pad into Chilean sophistication. The rooftop bar delivers Andes views with perfectly crafted pisco sours, while the neighborhood pulses with galleries, artisan eateries, and that unmistakable energy of a city that knows its worth. Inside, warm chocolate and khaki tones create a clubby atmosphere that feels like the Santiago insiders’ secret. Here, you’re not just staying in Chile’s capital—you’re plugged into its creative heartbeat.
