The Journey

Day by Day

Day 1: Buenos Aires Arrival
Day 1

Buenos Aires Arrival

Arrive in Buenos Aires, settle into Ilum Experience Home in Palermo Hollywood, explore the neighborhood, private welcome dinner.

A luminous beginning in the city of contrasts.

Arrive in Buenos Aires and settle into Ilum Experience Home, a serene refuge in the vibrant Palermo Hollywood district. Contemporary lines, soft light, and natural textures create a sense of calm amid the city’s creative energy. Step outside into a neighborhood alive with design studios, tree-lined cafés, and the hum of porteño nightlife. Spend the afternoon exploring Palermo’s artful sprawl — Murano-lit boutiques, leafy parks, and the nearby galleries of Recoleta. As evening falls, gather with your fellow travelers for a private welcome dinner, raising a glass to the journey ahead in the city where elegance meets electricity.

Day 2: Fly to El Calafate
Day 2

Fly to El Calafate

Morning flight to Patagonia, check into Kau Yatún estancia, evening Nativo Experience with cave paintings and firelit dinner.

Trading city streets for endless sky.

Morning flight south into Patagonia, where the bustle of Buenos Aires fades into open steppe and far-off peaks. Arrive in El Calafate and check into Kau Yatún Hotel de Campo, a century-old estancia that blends working-ranch heritage with quiet comfort. Spend the afternoon strolling its wide pastures or joining gauchos for a taste of Patagonian life. As the sun dips low, set out by 4×4 along the shores of Lago Argentino for the Nativo Experience — a climb to Punta Bonita’s cliffs, cave paintings that whisper of ancient hands, and dinner served by firelight inside a cavern overlooking the lake.

Day 3: Perito Moreno Glacier
Day 3

Perito Moreno Glacier

Full-day encounter with Perito Moreno Glacier — boardwalks, boat views, optional ice-trekking. Return to Kau Yatún.

Where ice still moves with purpose.

Venture into Los Glaciares National Park for a full-day encounter with the legendary Perito Moreno Glacier — one of the few in the world still advancing. Wander the network of elevated walkways to watch massive ice towers calve into Lago Argentino, or take a boat across the turquoise water for a closer view of its sheer, creaking face. For the adventurous, optional ice-trekking offers the chance to walk atop the glacier itself, crampons biting into ancient blue ice. As the day fades, return to Kau Yatún Hotel de Campo, where firelight and a glass of Malbec await — stories traded beneath the same stars that crown the Patagonian steppe.

Day 4: El Chaltén – Cerro Torre
Day 4

El Chaltén – Cerro Torre

Travel to Argentina's trekking capital, full-day hike toward Cerro Torre through lenga forest and alpine meadows.

Into Patagonia’s granite heart.

Travel to El Chaltén, Argentina’s trekking capital, nestled beneath the spires of Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. Embark on a guided full-day hike through lenga forest and alpine meadows toward Cerro Torre — its jagged peaks mirrored in glacial lagoons. For a gentler pace, shorter scenic walks and café explorations in town are available. End the day with local Patagonian fare and shared stories of the trail.

Day 5: Mount Fitz Roy Trek
Day 5

Mount Fitz Roy Trek

Legendary Laguna de los Tres trail to Mount Fitz Roy base — 9-hour hike with panoramic views and turquoise lakes.

The mountain that defines Patagonia.

Set out early for the legendary Laguna de los Tres trail leading to the base of Mount Fitz Roy — Patagonia’s most photographed summit. The 9-hour hike rewards every step with panoramic views, turquoise lakes, and wild solitude. Alternative half-day routes, such as Loma del Pliegue Tumbado, offer equally striking vistas for those wanting less intensity. Evening return to El Chaltén for a celebratory dinner and well-earned rest.

Day 6: Recovery & Return
Day 6

Recovery & Return

Relaxed morning in El Chaltén with optional mobility session, transfer to El Calafate, evening at Imago Hotel & Spa.

Movement, stillness, integration.

A relaxed morning in El Chaltén — opt for gentle mobility and breathwork with Adam to restore and reset, or wander the town’s artisan cafés and galleries. After lunch, transfer back to El Calafate, arriving in time for an evening spa session or quiet lakeside walk before dinner.

Day 7: Cross into Chile
Day 7

Cross into Chile

Journey west into Chile, traditional Patagonian lamb asado at an estancia, arrive at Remota Patagonia Lodge.

From steppe to sculpted peaks.

Cross west into Chile, where the open Argentine pampas give way to jagged horizons and the wind carries the scent of snow and fire. Pause at a traditional estancia for a Patagonian lamb asado, slow-roasted over embers beneath the wide sky. By afternoon, arrive at Remota Patagonia Lodge, an architectural ode to the landscape — slatted wood, vast glass walls, and views that pull the outside in. Your Torres del Paine adventure begins here: guided explorations, gourmet dining, and evenings spent watching the light fade over Torres del Paine, a pisco sour in hand as the peaks turn to flame.

Day 8: Torres del Paine
Day 8

Torres del Paine

Full day exploring Torres del Paine — hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, or photography tours. Evening at Remota.

Choose your own wild.

Today is yours to explore Torres del Paine National Park with a full menu of included excursions at your disposal. Hike beneath granite towers, ride horseback with gauchos across open steppe, kayak the glacial waters of the Serrano River, or capture Patagonia’s ever-shifting light on a guided photography tour. Each outing is crafted to match your pace and curiosity. Return to Remota Patagonia Lodge for a soak in the heated pool overlooking Última Esperanza Sound, followed by relaxation and dinner by the fire as the wind hums across the plains.

Day 9: Deeper into the Park
Day 9

Deeper into the Park

Second day in Torres del Paine — sunrise hike to Base Torres, horseback riding, wildlife watching for guanacos and condors.

Rhythm of the wilderness.

Your second full day in Torres del Paine invites deeper exploration through Remota’s Adventure Program. Rise before dawn for a guided hike to Base Torres, where the morning light ignites the granite spires, or ride horseback across golden valleys in the shadow of the Paine Massif. Keep watch for guanacos grazing along the steppe and condors tracing slow arcs overhead — Patagonia’s quiet pulse made visible in motion. Each moment here expands your sense of scale and silence.

Day 10: On To Santiago
Day 10

On To Santiago

Fly north to Santiago, check into The Singular Santiago in Lastarria district, rooftop farewell dinner overlooking the city.

From wilderness to warmth.

Fly north to Santiago, Chile’s vibrant capital, and check into The Singular Santiago in the historic Lastarria district. That evening, gather for a rooftop farewell dinner overlooking the city lights — celebrating the miles, laughter, and friendships forged in the world’s southernmost wilds.

Day 11: Departures & Extensions
Day 11

Departures & Extensions

Breakfast at The Singular, private transfers to SCL airport. Optional extension to Atacama Desert available.

Depart changed — or keep going.

After breakfast at The Singular Santiago, private transfers are arranged to SCL International Airport for onward flights home. For many, this is the day to exhale — to reflect on the miles walked, the friends made, and the rare sense of stillness only Patagonia can leave behind.

For others, the journey continues north into the Atacama Desert, where otherworldly salt flats, volcanic peaks, and star-filled skies await.
